Context

Institute of Technology Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) requires all academics to work from home to prevent the spread of the corona virus (Covid-19). myITS WorkTime uses the location services capabilities of the user's computer and mobile phone. To improve location accuracy, users are advised to use a smartphone and activate location services (GPS) before starting work and record their location in the application.

Problem

The myITS Worktime application currently still has many flows and the interface is less user friendly. In its implementation, many users (lecturers and teaching staff) are still confused about the meaning of a button. And currently the myITS Worktime design is required to follow the system design of the myITS Portal which is currently still in the development stage.

Objective

The aim of this project is to make the myITS Worktime user experience more attractive in an effort to improve the quality and comfort of employees in accessing myITS Worktime. The design is enhanced but does not completely change the function of the previous design.

Ideation

To improve the user experience in online attendance in the myITS Worktime application, by mutual agreement I provide the following changes:

Design Process - MyITS Worktime

In this MyITS Worktime, I have the task of making the entire interface simpler and more user friendly. Based on the background, the age of myITS Worktime users is 30-70 years. How users can understand what the flow of each page and button means so that users can use them well without hindering their work. Just imagine, if the user does not record the user's presence because the user is still constrained by the usability of each button and page flow. The following is the previous version of myITS Worktime page which has a different appearance and flow on each page.

Starting from the beginning, create the myITS Worktime home page which is divided into several sections, namely heroes, statistics and quick surveys. Previously there was no hero section, now there is a hero section to convey greetings to users after successfully entering the myITS Worktime page with the hope that they will do their work happily.
