Context
The client is a fish processing company supported by the tax consulting firm where I work. Its daily operations from recording incoming fish and inventory movements to shipments, services, billing, and payments—were primarily managed through spreadsheets and separate supporting documents.
Problem
The manual and fragmented process made it difficult to maintain consistent data across departments. Repeated data entry increased the risk of human error, inaccurate fish weight and stock records, duplicate or unauthorized changes, and missing transaction details.
Payment records, invoices, and supporting documents were also stored separately, making it difficult to trace transactions and prepare reliable evidence when required for financial reviews or tax examinations.
Objective
The project aimed to:
🔘 Transform manual operational records into one integrated digital system.
🔘 Improve the accuracy and traceability of fish weight, stock, and inventory movements.
🔘 Connect operational activities with shipment, service, billing, and payment records.
🔘 Maintain a structured history of invoices, payment evidence, and transaction status.
🔘 Strengthen internal controls and make business data easier to verify during financial or tax examinations.
